FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Coaching is different from therapy in the following ways:
Focus on the Present and Future: While therapy often delves into past experiences and emotions, life coaching primarily focuses on the present and future. It's forward-looking and action-oriented.
Goal-Oriented vs. Healing-Centric: Coaching is more goal-oriented, helping clients achieve specific outcomes. Therapy tends to be more healing-centric, addressing emotional and psychological challenges.
Structure and Accountability: Coaching sessions often involve setting specific goals and action plans, with clients being held accountable for their progress. Therapy may be more exploratory and less structured in nature.
Thriving vs. Functioning: Coaching allows you to elevate your life from a state of Functioning to Thriving. Therapy allows you to move from a place of Survival to Functioning.
Coaching does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of mental disorders and that coaching is not to be used as a substitute for counselling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care, substance abuse treatment, or other professional advice by legal, medical or other qualified professionals and that it is the client’s exclusive responsibility to seek such independent professional guidance as needed.

Life coaching involves guiding individuals on the journey from their current situation to their desired destination. This journey encompasses various life aspects, such as business, health, career, relationships, and work-life balance.
Whether the goal is finding overall happiness or achieving something specific like starting a new job, a life coach employs insightful questioning. Through these questions, clients clarify their goals, understand their present circumstances, explore available options, and decide on actionable steps within a specific timeframe.
The essence of life coaching lies in the belief that everyone can reach their goals by recognizing and leveraging their own strengths and resources, emphasising autonomy over being told what to do.
Coaching is beneficial not only for those uncertain about their life goals but particularly for those who are clear about what they wish to avoid.
